Pitts Model 12 - G-PXII - Description and Specification

  • Craftsman-built in the USA in 2006, formerly N6212.
  • Imported into England in 2008, registered G-PXII.
  • Two-seat sport biplane of conventional steel tube construction with Douglas Fir wings.
  • Certificated to +6/-4.5g at max weight with two pilots.
  • Vedenyev M14-P engine producing 360hp at 2900rpm.
  • 2.5 metre diameter geared Mulbauer MT 3-blade composite constant speed propeller.
  • Max level speed approx 190mph, Vne 239 mph, normal cruise 150mph giving 68 litres/hr.
  • Climb Rate 3200 feet per minute.
  • Roll rate >300°/second.
  • Range 525 miles.
  • Full inverted fuel and oil systems with dry sump.
  • Will fly at all levels of competition including International Unlimited, and is legal for World Class Advanced category contests.
